IT STARTED WITH $250
One market booth. 2 folding tables. One dream.
Losing a portion of my eyesight and developing life-threatening food allergies changed the direction of my life in ways I never expected. Instead of letting those curveballs define what I couldn't do, I decided to show my children and myself that you can still build something meaningful when life doesn't go according to plan.
That $250 farmers' market booth became the first step in a journey I never could have imagined.
THE THROUGH LINE
Rooted in Place
The farmers' market became the catalyst for everything that followed. It introduced me to the farmers, butchers, growers and producers who would become my trusted suppliers, collaborators and friends. Those relationships became foundational to a nationally recognized restaurant, value-added products, culinary experiences and projects built around celebrating the people and places that make every region unique.
Over the past seven+ years, I've continued building products, experiences and initiatives that connect people to place. Whether through local food systems, culinary tourism or national collaborations, my work has always been rooted in the same belief: when we celebrate what grows here, who produces it and the communities behind it, we create stronger local economies and more meaningful experiences
